WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Organizers are seeking community volunteers to pack one million jambalaya meals at State Fair Park on Thursday, Nov. 5, for distribution through local food banks to families across the region. The event, called the “Million Meal Pack,” will offer three volunteer shifts. Participants can sign up for multiple shifts, and registration is open to the public. Pick ’n Save, Metro Market and Mariano’s are organizing the drive with U.S. Hunger and the Kroger Foundation. The meal-packing effort is intended to support food banks serving southeastern Wisconsin communities.
