Six people were arrested after a fight between two groups in Caledonia ended with a 28-year-old man being shot Sunday, police said. The injured man, who is from Menomonee Falls, was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening and later released. Investigators said the groups had agreed to meet at a location outside Caledonia before moving into the village. One group had firearms and began shooting at the other, according to police. The department said it does not believe the attack was random and that there is no reason to think the public is in danger. Police initially responded to a report of a hit-and-run after the man called to say his vehicle had been rear-ended. Officers found he had been shot. A silver Honda had multiple bullet holes, and investigators found shell casings on East Frontage Road, just north of 6½ Mile Road. Police said the other people in the victim’s group left in separate vehicles before officers arrived. Flock cameras helped investigators identify and arrest six people within hours, the department said.
