Slinger youth baseball champion shares Brewers’ World Series hopes with pitcher Jacob Misiorowski

Bennett Rahlf’s Richfield Rage bounced back from a title-game loss in 2025 to win a championship this year. He showed his ring to Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski and is now rooting for Milwaukee to earn one of its own.

SLINGER, Wis. — Bennett Rahlf knows the sting of a championship-game loss—and the satisfaction of returning to win it the next year. The 11-year-old’s Richfield Rage team did just that, claiming its title this season after falling short in 2025.

That run gave Rahlf a personal connection to the Milwaukee Brewers’ postseason push. Earlier this year, at a Wisconsin Parkinson Association meet-and-greet, he showed his championship ring to Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.

“He thought it was pretty cool. And he said hopefully we’ll get one this year,” Rahlf recalled.

The conversation took on added meaning as Milwaukee reached the World Series for the first time since 1982. The Brewers lost that year’s championship series to the St. Louis Cardinals; Rahlf hopes this team can finish the job.

He offered the players advice drawn from his own team’s comeback: “Keep your head high. Like don’t get down on yourself.” Rahlf also pointed to Milwaukee’s sweep of the Dodgers, saying the Tampa Bay Rays would be wary because “the Dodgers are really good.”

Rahlf’s younger brother, Gavin, also plays baseball and cheers for the Brewers. The two brothers and their family are watching to see whether Misiorowski’s hopeful prediction—and the Brewers’ World Series run—ends with a championship ring.
