A Dodge Charger crashed into a porch near Center and 20th streets in Racine around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, destroying the porch and damaging other property, police said. Officers believe speed contributed to the crash. The driver suffered minor injuries and was cited, according to police. Monique McKnight, who lives nearby, said she heard a loud impact while in her kitchen. When she went outside, she found the porch gone. McKnight said speeding has been a recurring concern on the street, comparing it to a dragway. She also recalled an incident during a previous summer when speeding drivers struck three vehicles parked on the street.
