Milwaukee police arrest two suspects after fatal teen shooting and separate injury shooting
A 17-year-old was killed near 39th Street and Lisbon Avenue, and a 40-year-old was wounded near 27th Street and Oklahoma Avenue overnight Saturday. Police say they arrested a 14-year-old in the fatal shooting and a 26-year-old in the second case.
MILWAUKEE — Two separate shootings overnight Saturday left a 17-year-old dead and a 40-year-old injured, Milwaukee police said. Suspects were arrested in both cases.
The fatal shooting was reported at about 9:40 p.m. near 39th Street and Lisbon Avenue on Milwaukee’s north side, a few blocks from Washington Park. Police said a 14-year-old was arrested in connection with the killing. Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting.
Shortly before midnight, a 40-year-old was shot near 27th Street and Oklahoma Avenue, near Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital. Police arrested a 26-year-old suspected of shooting the victim. The injured person was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

Milwaukee police data showed 84 homicides through Oct. 8, compared with 108 by the same date in 2025. The city had recorded 325 nonfatal shootings, 99 fewer than at that point last year.
