A person was detained Saturday evening at Jerry Smith Pumpkin Farm after on-site security responded to a security incident, the farm and local television station WISN reported Sunday. Kenosha County deputies took the person into custody after they were informed of a threat, according to the report. The nature of the threat, whether anyone was injured and whether the person faces charges were not disclosed. In a statement posted on Facebook, the farm thanked its security staff and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office for their response and said it takes security concerns seriously. The farm said the safety of guests, employees and the community is a priority. The sheriff’s office had not responded to a request for comment by Sunday afternoon, according to WISN.
