WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. — Morgan Geyser has asked a judge for a restraining order against a South Milwaukee man, saying he sold items belonging to her and posted a video of himself stabbing a photograph of her. In a petition filed last week, Geyser described the man as a self-proclaimed “true crime collector” who collects and sells memorabilia related to her criminal case. She said he contacted her about three years ago, and that she stopped communicating with him after learning how he discussed her and that he was selling her belongings online. Geyser also wrote that the man collects knives and torture devices at his home. She said staff at the institute where she is staying had previously been concerned he might show up. Given what she described as a new threat, she wrote that she would feel more comfortable if he could not try to get near her. The allegations are set out in Geyser’s petition. An injunction hearing is scheduled for Oct. 7. Geyser was 12 in 2014 when she and a friend stabbed a classmate after a sleepover in Waukesha. The attack was linked to their belief in Slender Man, a fictional character. Geyser is also seeking release, according to a separate court matter.
