Two maintenance workers were injured Saturday morning when a vehicle struck them in a parking lot at ABB in New Berlin and left before police arrived, authorities said. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near South Calhoun Road and West Lincoln Avenue. The injured workers, ages 49 and 29, were taken for care; both are expected to survive, police said. Officers later arrested a 35-year-old man during a traffic stop. Police plan to refer a charge of hit-and-run causing injury to the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office. The referral is not a formal charge, and prosecutors will decide whether to bring one. Police said they do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
