MILWAUKEE — Family and friends gathered Saturday, Sept. 26, at 92nd Street and West Hampton Avenue to honor Iyannah Pryor, a 21-year-old mother who died after being struck by a car earlier in the week. Milwaukee police said Pryor was hit around 6 a.m. Tuesday by a driver traveling west on West Hampton Avenue. The 34-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. Authorities ruled the incident an accident. At the vigil, loved ones shared memories and released balloons in Pryor’s honor. Her boyfriend, Jalen Usher, said she had changed his life and spoke of his love and grief. Family and friends said they would carry on her legacy.
