A person of interest in the fatal shooting of Skyler Thomas at a Madison shopping center was arrested Monday in Los Angeles on unrelated charges, Madison police said Wednesday. Madison officers were called to Northgate Shopping Center, on North Sherman Avenue, at about 1:45 a.m. Sept. 20. They found Thomas on the ground and took him to a hospital, where he later died. Police have not identified the person arrested or announced any charges connected to Thomas’ death. The Madison Police Department and the medical examiner’s office are investigating, and the case remains ongoing.
