OREGON, Wis. — A 17-year-old Edgerton boy faces multiple charges after police said he assaulted an Oregon officer and later attacked hospital staff and officers during an evaluation over the weekend. Oregon police were called at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday to the 100 block of Cedar Drive after a caller reported that someone appeared to be under the influence of a hallucinogen and was acting aggressively inside a home. The caller said the person was trying to fight others in the house. According to the Oregon Police Department, officers contacted the teen and he struck one officer in the chest before attempting to disarm the officer. Police took him into custody and brought him to a local hospital for evaluation. At the hospital, police said, the teen tried to hit medical staff, kicked an officer and spit on another officer. The teen is charged with battery to law enforcement, throwing or expelling bodily fluids at a public safety worker, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct, police said. The allegations have not been proven in court. No information about injuries to the officers, medical staff or others was released.
