Search teams look for missing teen near New Washington after second report in a week
Clark County ground and K9 teams were searching the New Washington area Saturday for 14-year-old Lillian Stanley. Officials asked residents to check outbuildings, vehicles and security-camera footage for information that could help locate her.
Search teams were looking for 14-year-old Lillian Stanley in the New Washington area Saturday after she was reported missing for a second time in a week, Clark County officials said.
Stanley was reported missing at about 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9. She was last seen at her home along State Road 62 in New Washington, Indiana. By noon Saturday, ground teams and K9 teams were conducting additional searches in the area, according to Clark County Emergency Management.
Clark County Sheriff’s Office Assistant Chief Mark Grube said Stanley had also been reported missing around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. Investigators were working with emergency management officials and other partners to find her, he said.
Stanley is described as a white girl with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a camouflage hoodie.
Officials asked residents to check their properties, including garages, sheds and vehicles, and review camera footage. Anyone with information about Stanley’s whereabouts is asked to call the Clark County Emergency Dispatch Center at 812-246-6996.
