Investigators say the case led to the seizure of nearly 1,500 guns. Officials from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives displayed hundreds of confiscated weapons at a news conference. The investigation was led by the FBI and ATF, with help from other law enforcement agencies. Authorities allege that some of those charged are affiliated with the Atlanta-based gang known as the Goodfellas.
