Georgia State Patrol is looking for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run involving an electric bicycle on Winn Dixie Drive in Coweta County. The crash happened Sept. 26 behind the Starbucks near State Route 34. Troopers arriving at the scene learned that 65-year-old Stanley McCheyne was being taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Authorities learned on Sept. 29 that he had died from his injuries. GSP said people at the scene told troopers they had not witnessed the crash. Investigators are working to determine what happened before the collision and identify the driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
