Ping Ping and Fu Shuang to greet Zoo Atlanta visitors Nov. 6
Zoo Atlanta’s giant pandas will make their public debut Nov. 6 in the new Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove. The zoo says it will open later than usual that day for the unveiling.
ATLANTA — Giant pandas Ping Ping and Fu Shuang are scheduled to make their first public appearance at Zoo Atlanta on Friday, Nov. 6, in the new Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove.
The pandas are settling into their new habitat, the zoo announced Tuesday, Oct. 6. Zoo Atlanta plans a delayed opening on debut day; it has not provided an opening time in the announcement.
“This is a momentous occasion in Zoo Atlanta history,” President and CEO Raymond B. King said. He said the zoo was eager to introduce the pandas and the new habitat to Atlanta, Georgia and visitors from beyond the state.
King added that visitors familiar with the zoo’s former panda habitat would find the new space a different experience. Zoo Atlanta says tickets are available through its website.
