An 8-year-old boy died Monday after the Honda ATV he was driving struck a mailbox and overturned on Pate Road. Georgia State Patrol says the crash remains under investigation.
An 8-year-old boy died Monday afternoon after an ATV crash on Pate Road in Coweta County, Georgia State Patrol said.
The boy was driving a Honda ATV south on the road at about 4:15 p.m. when he lost control, troopers said. The vehicle struck a mailbox, left the roadway and overturned, throwing the child from the ATV.
He died at the scene. Authorities have not released his name, and the crash is under investigation.
