Nightclub security guard killed in South Seattle drive-by; woman wounded
A 36-year-old nightclub security guard was killed and a 27-year-old woman was seriously injured in a shooting early Sunday in South Seattle. Police said the shooter fired from a vehicle that drove into the club’s parking lot, then fled; the vehicle was later found burning nearby.
A 36-year-old security guard was killed and a 27-year-old woman was seriously injured in a drive-by shooting at a South Seattle nightclub early Sunday, police said.
Officers responded shortly before 1 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 5800 block of Fourth Avenue South. They found the guard dead at the scene and the woman with a gunshot wound to her leg. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived, and she was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Seattle police said a vehicle entered the club’s parking lot and someone inside fired multiple shots. The vehicle left the scene and was later found on fire in South Seattle. Detectives are investigating; police did not announce any arrests or identify a suspect.
