Bryn Walker founders identified after fatal shooting near Oakland-Berkeley line
Michelle Min and Bryan Walker, who founded and ran the Berkeley fashion label Bryn Walker, were found dead outside their Oakland Hills home. Police have not determined whether the deaths were a double homicide or a murder-suicide.
Michelle Min, 63, and Bryan Walker, 64, founders of the Berkeley-based fashion company Bryn Walker, were identified Monday as the couple found shot to death outside their Oakland Hills home last week, police said.
Officers responded after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots at about 10:45 a.m. Friday. The couple was found outdoors near their home in the 400 block of Panoramic Way, in the Panoramic Hills neighborhood near the Berkeley border and the University of California, Berkeley campus.
Oakland Assistant Police Chief Casey Johnson said a firearm was found at the scene. Investigators had not established whether the deaths were a double homicide or a murder-suicide, and police said they were not seeking additional suspects. Johnson said there was no threat to the neighborhood.
Min and Walker owned and operated Bryn Walker, a fashion design business founded in 1991, according to state business license records. The company has retail shops as well as a wholesale operation.
