UArizona extends tuition freeze to graduate and out-of-state students in 2027
The University of Arizona will hold tuition rates and fees steady for undergraduate and graduate students in fall 2027, the university announced Monday, Oct. 5, 2026. The freeze marks the fourth consecutive year resident undergraduates will see no increase. For the 2027-28 academic year, the university is also extending the freeze to nonresident undergraduates and all graduate students. “[A] world-class education must be within reach for every Wildcat,” President Suresh Garimella said in a statement, adding that the university considers students’ and families’ trust a responsibility. The freeze means listed tuition rates and fees will not rise for the covered students next fall. The university has published a tuition chart for the 2027-28 fiscal year, though the announcement did not specify individual program costs or other expenses students may face.
