The Town Council voted 3-2 on Oct. 7 to reject a rezoning request for a proposed 150-unit rental development. Residents had raised concerns about added pressure on water supplies and traffic.
Queen Creek’s Town Council voted 3-2 on Oct. 7 to deny a request to rezone commercial land for a proposed 150-unit rental development just east of Power and Germann roads.
The plan called for a mix of single-family homes and duplexes. Residents opposed the project, expressing concern that it could strain water resources and worsen traffic. The council’s vote rejected the zoning change needed to allow the development.
