Human remains were found buried on a property in Pink during the search for missing Pottawatomie County man Troy Tolton, and two people have been arrested, the county sheriff’s office said Friday, Oct. 16.
Deputies and investigators had been looking for Tolton since he was reported missing in August. During the investigation, they focused on the property and obtained a search warrant. Investigators recovered multiple pieces of evidence and found the remains, authorities said.
Agnes Crenshaw and Monica Pacheco were arrested on complaints of unlawful removal of the dead and desecration of a human corpse. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office is tasked with identifying the person whose remains were found. Authorities have not said whether the remains are Tolton’s.
The sheriff’s office said it would continue investigating while preserving the integrity of the case and respecting the families involved.
