Packers clear Josh Jacobs to rejoin team as NFL conduct review continues

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers activated running back Josh Jacobs from the NFL Commissioner Exempt list Saturday, Oct. 24, making him eligible to return to the field while the league’s review of his case continues.

Jacobs had been placed on the list as the NFL investigated the matter under its personal conduct policy. The investigation remains open, and the league could impose additional discipline.

In September, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property. Prosecutors accused him of throwing his then-girlfriend to the ground and damaging her phone at his home on May 23. He was fined $1,000 on the battery charge and received a deferred judgment on the property-damage charge.

His attorneys said Jacobs accepts responsibility for his actions and is eager to rejoin his teammates.

The Packers also activated defensive tackle Jordon Riley from the physically unable to perform list, signed wide receiver Coleman Owen from the practice squad and elevated edge rusher Arron Mosby for game day.
