Brewers take 1-0 lead into Game 2 as American Family Field roof stays shut
Milwaukee will host Game 2 of the World Series with a 1-0 lead over Tampa Bay in the best-of-seven series. The Brewers said the ballpark’s roof and panels will be closed.
MILWAUKEE — The Brewers will face the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 2 of the World Series with a 1-0 series lead, after Milwaukee won the opener of the best-of-seven matchup.
The Brewers said the roof and panels at American Family Field will be closed for Saturday’s game. The matchup is set to determine the first World Series champion for either franchise, and the series could become baseball’s first championship played entirely indoors.
The teams entered the Fall Classic as MLB’s top clubs, according to the game preview. A Milwaukee win would put the Brewers two victories from a title; a Rays win would even the series at one game apiece.
