Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul and Republican challenger Eric Toney have agreed to debate Oct. 11 on the Wisconsin public affairs program “UPFRONT,” the show announced Sept. 27. The debate will be taped at WISN-TV’s Milwaukee studios and moderated by the program’s hosts, Matt Smith and Gerron Jordan. A recap is scheduled for the Oct. 12 WisPolitics AM update. The candidates’ debate comes 23 days before Wisconsin voters choose an attorney general on Nov. 3. Kaul is seeking another term; Toney is the Fond du Lac County district attorney. The Oct. 11 event is the only joint appearance between them announced so far. Smith and Jordan are also set to moderate a debate between gubernatorial candidates David Crowley and Tom Tiffany on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
