Three injured in two Milwaukee shootings within an hour; two arrested

Three people were shot in two separate incidents in Milwaukee on Friday night, with the shootings occurring about an hour apart, police said. All three are expected to survive.
The first shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. near North 16th and West Ring streets in the Borchert Field neighborhood, close to Union Cemetery. A 24-year-old was taken to a hospital. Police had not announced an arrest in that case.
About five miles away, police investigated a double shooting near West Appleton and West Keefe avenues in the Dineen Park neighborhood. The people shot were 16 and 35 years old, and both are expected to recover. Police said two people were arrested at the hospital in connection with that incident; the investigation was ongoing.
