Rider flown to trauma center after early-morning Miami Lakes collision
A motorcyclist was airlifted in critical condition after a crash near Northwest 57th Avenue and Miami Lakes Drive shortly before 6 a.m. Monday. The driver of the other vehicle stayed at the scene, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at about 5:49 a.m. to the area of Northwest 57th Avenue and Miami Lakes Drive. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also went to the scene and transported the rider by air to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, according to the sheriff’s office.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene. Authorities had not released further information about the crash.
