North Miami owner offers $1,000 reward after puppy disappears from yard
Aries Wilson says security footage shows a driver luring her 8-month-old toy poodle, Blu, into a car after he got out of the backyard. She is offering $1,000 for information leading to his return and says she will not press charges if he is brought home.
A North Miami woman is offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps bring home her 8-month-old toy poodle, Blu, who disappeared Thursday after getting out of her backyard.
Aries Wilson said Blu slipped beneath a gap in the fence while outside to play and use the bathroom. Security footage later showed him in the front yard of a home near Northwest 128th Terrace and Tenth Avenue, she said.
Wilson said footage from neighborhood cameras shows a dark-colored sedan stop nearby. The driver, who appeared to be wearing a blue vest, honked and called to Blu, then got out of the car. Blu approached the driver, and the dog was gone when the car left, according to Wilson’s account of the video.
Wilson said Blu’s collar carried an Apple AirTag, but the tracker was removed. She described Blu as a support dog and a member of her family.
“Just bring the dog back,” Wilson said, asking for his return without questions. She said she was waiting to hear from a detective and would not press charges if Blu is returned.
The reward is for information that leads to Blu being located.
