Friday Night Lights: Underdog Cougars Upset the Top Seed in Overtime
A 17-yard pass on fourth down with 40 seconds left sent the Cougars to the regional final in front of a sellout crowd.
MADISON. On the coldest night of the season, the Cougars played their best quarter of football when it mattered most.
Trailing by four with under a minute to play, sophomore quarterback Eli Marsh found wide receiver Deon Fields on a 17-yard crossing route at the back of the end zone. The sellout crowd didn't so much cheer as erupt.
The win sends the Cougars to their first regional final in a decade. Kickoff is set for Friday at 7.
