Badgers beat UW-Parkside 94-71 in Kohl Center exhibition
Wisconsin opened its basketball schedule with a 94-71 exhibition win over UW-Parkside on Saturday in Madison. Nolan Winter and newcomer Trey Autry featured in early highlights as the Badgers began preparing for a season after last year’s NCAA Tournament first-round exit.
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin defeated UW-Parkside 94-71 on Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center, using an exhibition game to begin its preparations for the upcoming basketball season.
The Badgers showed early offensive combinations, including a play in which Owen Foxwell found Nolan Winter for a 3-pointer. Trey Autry, a new addition to Wisconsin’s lineup, drove to the basket for a finish, while Winter later used a pump fake to get past a defender and score near the rim.
Wisconsin held off the Rangers to finish with a 23-point margin. The exhibition offered the Badgers a first chance to test their lineup before the regular season, following a campaign that ended with a first-round loss in the NCAA Tournament. The team has set its sights on a longer postseason run this year.
