A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday when a pickup truck turning into a driveway collided with his motorcycle on North County Highway H in the Town of Center, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened shortly after 6:15 a.m. in the 2000 block of the highway. Investigators said a pickup driven north by a 20-year-old Janesville man was turning left into a driveway on the road’s west side when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck a motorcycle traveling south. The motorcycle rider, a 38-year-old man from Orfordville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office will release his name later, authorities said. The pickup driver was not injured and remained at the scene. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn, resulting in a death. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
