Man pleads guilty to conspiracy charge in east Las Vegas horse case

Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros pleaded guilty Thursday, Oct. 22, in Clark County District Court to a gross misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to commit a crime, according to court records.

The plea stems from a Las Vegas police investigation that began in June, after a horse was found dead in east Las Vegas. A resident had reported that the animal was dragged by a truck, and police sought information about a pickup seen in area video footage.

Camarillo Guarneros later turned himself in to police, authorities said. A plea agreement was filed in open court on Oct. 22, but the specific terms were not immediately available. The court record information reported so far does not specify the conduct covered by the conspiracy charge.
