TCU taps longtime former leader to steer Fort Worth campus after brief transition
Victor Boschini is returning as Texas Christian University’s chancellor after Daniel Pullin resigned following just over a year in the role. The university has not publicly stated why Pullin is leaving.
Texas Christian University has appointed former Chancellor Victor Boschini to lead the Fort Worth campus again, following Daniel Pullin’s resignation, the university said Oct. 23, 2026.
Boschini is taking over immediately, according to the university. He led TCU for 22 years before stepping down in 2025. Pullin had served as chancellor for a little more than a year. University officials have not given a reason for his departure.
Kit Moncrief, chair of TCU’s Board of Trustees, thanked Pullin for his service and said the university wished him and his family well. Pullin, in a statement, thanked the TCU community for its support and praised students’ potential as they graduate and become alumni.
Moncrief said Boschini’s experience would help continue the university’s “Lead On: Values in Action” strategic plan and guide campus life. The leadership change puts a familiar figure back in charge as students, faculty and staff navigate a new transition at the university.
