Dallas police seek help locating 13-year-old last seen in Lake Highlands
Natalie Armstrong has been missing since Oct. 21, when she was last seen near Whistle Stop Place in Dallas. Her family says possible sightings have shifted its search toward Grapevine and asks residents to share information with police.
Dallas police are asking for the public’s help finding 13-year-old Natalie Armstrong, who was last seen on foot in the 9300 block of Whistle Stop Place in the Lake Highlands area at about 10:08 p.m. Oct. 21, 2026.
Armstrong’s mother, Megan Bernhardt, said the teen left home without a phone, money or other electronics. The family believes she may have boarded a Dallas Area Rapid Transit train or bus and traveled to an unfamiliar area. After receiving reports of possible sightings in Grapevine, relatives have focused their search there, Bernhardt said.
Bernhardt said her daughter is autistic and has been experiencing anxiety related to school. The family has had no contact with her since she left, she said.
Police describe Armstrong as 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 135 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes. Bernhardt said the shoes may be the most recognizable part of her clothing.
Bernhardt urged parents to ask their teenagers whether they have seen or spoken with Armstrong, saying her daughter may feel more comfortable approaching someone her own age than an adult.
Anyone with information about Armstrong’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268 and reference case No. 155505-2026.
“We’re so worried, and we love you so much,” Bernhardt said in a message to her daughter. “You’re not in trouble. We just need you to come home.”
