Statesville Police Arrest Noah Harris in Murder and Kidnapping Case

STATESVILLE, N.C. — A Statesville man has been arrested and charged in connection with a homicide that authorities say also involved a kidnapping, according to court records.

Noah Harris was taken into custody on Nov. 6 and faces charges of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping in the death of Jason Stanley, court documents show.

The records do not specify where Stanley was killed or where the kidnapping is alleged to have occurred. It was not immediately clear whether Harris has an attorney or when he is scheduled to appear in court.

First-degree murder in North Carolina is the most serious homicide charge and can carry a sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty. First-degree kidnapping is a felony that can carry a lengthy prison term.

Statesville police have not released additional details about the investigation, including a possible motive or the circumstances that led to the charges. The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Statesville Police Department.
