Person dies after shooting on West 30th Street in Charlotte

A person died after being shot Tuesday afternoon on the 200 block of West 30th Street in north Charlotte. Police said they have identified everyone believed to be involved and are not seeking additional suspects.

A person died after a shooting in north Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Officers responded shortly after 3 p.m. Oct. 6 to the 200 block of West 30th Street after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, police said. They found a person with a gunshot wound and life-threatening injuries. MEDIC took the victim to a local hospital, where medical staff later pronounced them dead. CMPD said investigators have identified all parties they believe were involved and are not looking for additional suspects. Police have not released the victim’s identity or other details about what led to the shooting.
