Home Depot’s multiyear Hawks deal brings new fan zone and Atlanta-area programs

Home Depot announced a multiyear sponsorship with the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena on Monday, making the Vinings-based retailer the team and arena’s official home improvement partner and marking its first partnership with an NBA team.

The deal includes branding in the Hawks Fan Zone, arena signage, fan activations, digital content and community programming across metro Atlanta. A new mascot photo spot, “Harry the Hawk’s Nest, Built by The Home Depot,” is planned for the fan zone.

The company said the partnership will include youth programs focused on skilled trades and construction careers, along with basketball clinics and fitness activities. The first in-arena activation is scheduled for the Hawks’ regular-season home opener against the Houston Rockets on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The financial terms were not disclosed. Home Depot also sponsors other Atlanta-area sports properties, including the Braves, Falcons and Atlanta United, as well as college football events.
