The Atlanta Dream are one victory from the WNBA Finals after holding off the New York Liberty, 101-98, in overtime Wednesday night at State Farm Arena. Atlanta can secure its first finals appearance since 2013 with a win in Game 3, scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Liberty will be trying to extend the semifinal series. The Dream’s overtime win came in front of a home crowd in Atlanta. Angel Reese, wearing No. 5, was among the players on the court during the first half, according to the game’s published photo caption. A spot in the finals would mark a significant postseason milestone for the Atlanta franchise, which has not reached the championship series in more than a decade. Game 3 is the next opportunity for the Dream to close out the semifinal matchup.
