Atlanta Dream will bring full 2027 home schedule to downtown arena
The Dream will move all home games to State Farm Arena starting in 2027, shifting from a College Park venue with about 3,500 seats to a downtown arena that holds roughly 17,000. The move comes as the WNBA’s expanded schedule gives Atlanta 25 home games each season.
The Atlanta Dream will play their entire home schedule at State Farm Arena beginning in 2027, the team announced Tuesday, moving downtown after playing at Gateway Center Arena in College Park since 2021.
State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks, holds about 17,000 fans for basketball, compared with roughly 3,500 at Gateway Center. The Dream have hosted eight games at the downtown arena in recent years, and each sold out, the team said.
The team has signed a multiyear agreement for the move. With the WNBA schedule expanding from 44 to 50 games, the Dream are set to host 25 home games per season.
“This is an exciting next chapter for the Atlanta Dream,” team president and chief operating officer Morgan Shaw Parker said in a statement, citing fan enthusiasm and the franchise’s growth. She said the team aims to carry the traditions and energy of Gateway Center to the larger venue in the heart of Atlanta.
The change gives more fans the chance to attend Dream games, while relocating the team’s regular-season home from College Park to downtown. Tickets for the 2027 season are available through the team’s website.
