Seattle budget proposal pairs shelter and food spending with citywide cuts
Mayor Katie Wilson’s proposed $9.1 billion budget would expand housing, homelessness and food programs while reducing more than $50 million in annual General Fund spending. Seattle residents can comment as the City Council reviews the plan, including a proposed increase in police funding and a cut to fire department overtime.
