Fourth teen arrested in fatal shooting at downtown Tacoma garage
A teenage boy was arrested Oct. 21 in connection with an Oct. 18 shooting at Commerce Street Station that killed a teen. Three other people have been charged with murder and assault in the case.
A teenage boy was arrested Oct. 21 in connection with a fatal shooting at a downtown Tacoma parking garage, becoming the fourth suspect in the case, police said. He was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder and had not been charged as of Oct. 22, according to the information released by police and prosecutors.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at Commerce Street Station at 2:23 a.m. Oct. 18 and found a teenage boy dead at the scene. Police also reported finding a teen boy with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Three adults — brothers Jose Preston Leon Campos, 18, and Davion Deandre Dante Campos, 20, and Alina Itzel Guillen, 19 — were charged with first-degree murder the day before the fourth suspect’s arrest. They also face multiple first-degree assault charges. All three have pleaded not guilty, according to court information cited in the case.
Charging documents allege the three acted as principals or accomplices and carried several firearms, including a rifle, an AK-47-style weapon known as a Draco, and at least two pistols. They are accused of shooting at or injuring other people in the crowded garage.
The Tacoma Police Department said the investigation remains active and asked anyone with information to call 911. The charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
