Sin Bakery to Close After 24 Years on Westminster Street, Hosts Final 'All Must Go' Sale

PROVIDENCE — Sin Bakery, a Westminster Street staple for 24 years, is closing its doors and inviting the community to take home a piece of its history during a final "all must go" sale.

Owner Jennifer Luxmoore is selling off the bakery's inventory, including baking supplies, furniture, decorations, and more, as she prepares to shut the business for good. The sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 6, 7, 20, and 21.

"I like thinking that they're taking little pieces in," Luxmoore said. "We live on through the little pieces that people are taking."

Sin Bakery began as a custom-cake operation before expanding into retail and plated desserts, becoming a familiar name in Providence's food scene over more than two decades.

Luxmoore reflected on her time in the state's hospitality industry with gratitude. "Being a part of the hospitality industry in Rhode Island has been amazing," she said. "Rhode Island just has incredible chefs and incredible community, and being a part of that has been near and dear to my heart."

The closure marks the end of a long run for a small, independent business on a downtown corridor that has seen significant change over the past two decades. For regulars, the sale offers a chance to take home a memento — and for Luxmoore, a way to let the bakery's legacy live on in the community that supported it.
