Pedestrian in his 60s dies after being struck by two vehicles on Tower Hill Road
A man died after being hit by two cars Wednesday night while crossing Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown. Police said it remains unclear whether he was in a crosswalk.
A man in his 60s died Wednesday night after being struck by two vehicles on Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown, police said.
The man was crossing the road near the First Baptist Church of North Kingstown when an oncoming car hit him, Police Chief John Urban said. The impact threw him into the opposite lane, where a second vehicle struck him, Urban said.
The man was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Police have not said whether he was in a crosswalk when the first vehicle hit him.
Both drivers stopped and are cooperating with investigators. Police have not released the man’s identity.
