Multnomah County seeks eight men in investigation involving teen survivor
PORTLAND, Ore. — Multnomah County prosecutors said Wednesday that 32 men are accused of paying for sex with a girl who was between 13 and 17, and asked the public to help locate eight men who remain wanted in the case. Eight of the men have been convicted, according to the district attorney’s office. Warrants have been issued for eight others. The office did not provide further details about the status of the remaining men in information released Wednesday. Senior Deputy District Attorney Glen Ujifusa credited the survivor with helping investigators identify suspects. He said she had experienced significant trauma but came forward, and said the office stands with her. Prosecutors have not publicly identified her. The announcement underscores the role of survivor testimony in a complex investigation, while the outstanding warrants leave part of the case unresolved. The men who have not been convicted are accused; the allegations against them have not been established in court. Ujifusa said prosecutors are seeking the public’s help in finding men who have not turned themselves in.
