Glendale man, 73, missing after being last seen near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road

Arizona authorities issued a SAFE Alert for Albert Young, who was last seen early Saturday in Glendale. Young has a medical condition that may cause confusion; anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Authorities issued a SAFE Alert Saturday, Oct. 10, for Albert Young, a 73-year-old man last seen around 4 a.m. near 55th Avenue and Camelback Road in Glendale, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Young is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 130 pounds, with gray hair, brown eyes and a short beard. He was wearing a blue short-sleeve button-up shirt and black Levi’s jeans, and had no shoes. He has tattoos on his neck reading “Linda” and “Memory of Michael Young.” DPS said Young has a medical condition that may cause him to become easily confused. Anyone who knows where he is should call 911. Arizona uses SAFE Alerts to publicize cases involving missing people age 65 and older, as well as people with dementia or developmental or cognitive disabilities. The system replaced Silver Alerts.
