Pedestrian dies after collision on Elk Road in Elk Township
A pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a car on Elk Road Thursday evening. Elk Township police say a westbound Lexus may have hit the person; the crash is under investigation.
A pedestrian died Thursday evening after being struck by a car on Elk Road in Elk Township, Gloucester County, police said.
Officers were called to the scene around 7:41 p.m. on Oct. 15. They found a pedestrian with severe injuries and a four-door Lexus sedan with front-end damage, according to the Elk Township Police Department. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe the Lexus was traveling west on Elk Road when it struck the pedestrian. The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation. Authorities have not released the person’s identity or further details about the driver.
