A person was found dead inside a burned vehicle in Southwest Philadelphia early Sunday, and authorities are investigating the fire as possible arson.
Police found the body inside a Hyundai on the 8400 block of Enterprise Avenue at about 1:45 a.m. The victim was burned beyond recognition, authorities said, and was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and to determine the cause of death.
The Philadelphia Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire. No arrests have been announced.
