Two people died Sunday night after a vehicle struck a golf cart on Highway 2 in Muskogee County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emergency crews were called at about 9 p.m. to the area of Highway 2 and East 3034d Street South. Troopers said the golf cart was traveling south with no lights on when it was hit by another vehicle. The collision sent the cart off the road and onto its side. The driver, John Head, 41, and passenger Dawn Head, 50, were ejected and died from their injuries, authorities said. Officials have not released further details about the other vehicle or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
