Tecumseh district places three high school staff members on leave during coach probe
TECUMSEH, Okla. — Tecumseh Public Schools placed Tecumseh High School Principal Jaime Griggs, Athletic Director Casi Bays and counselor Erin Meyers on administrative leave Wednesday, Oct. 14, as investigators broadened a probe involving head football coach Randon Lowe. The district said the leave is not disciplinary. In a letter to families, Superintendent Robert Kinsey said it is intended to allow the investigation to proceed and protect the integrity of the process. The district said it is cooperating with investigators but is limited in what it can disclose because the case involves employees and students. The investigation is being conducted jointly by Tecumseh police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Police Chief J.R. Kidney previously confirmed that an investigation into Lowe began after four students made allegations. The allegations date to 2025, with additional claims raised in 2026, according to the information released about the case. Lowe was placed on administrative leave at the end of September. He has coached at Tecumseh for two years and previously worked as offensive coordinator at Midwest City. Police have not arrested him, and no charges have been filed. The district said classes, activities and athletic schedules will continue as planned. Assistant principals Rodney Buss and Tarek Aissaoui will share school leadership duties. District communications director Justin Wood will serve as acting athletic director, and Brittney Honsinger will support counseling services for students. The district said counselors are available to students who need support.
