Police: Center-line crossing preceded fatal Springfield Highway collision
A 50-year-old man from Adairville, Kentucky, died after a two-vehicle crash Friday night on Springfield Highway in North Davidson County. A 26-year-old driver was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
A 50-year-old man from Adairville, Kentucky, died after a two-vehicle crash Friday night in the 1400 block of Springfield Highway, Metro Nashville police said. A 26-year-old driver was critically injured.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. Oct. 16. In a preliminary investigation, police found that the older driver’s vehicle crossed the center line and hit the other vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to Skyline Medical Center. The 50-year-old died there, and the 26-year-old remained in critical condition, police said. Authorities were working to notify the deceased man’s family.
Police reported no signs that either driver was impaired. The investigation is ongoing.
