Ogunbowale’s record 45 points keep Dallas’ WNBA season alive

ARLINGTON, Texas — Milwaukee native Arike Ogunbowale delivered a WNBA playoff-record 45 points Tuesday night, lifting the Dallas Wings to a 108-100 overtime win over the Golden State Valkyries and keeping Dallas’ season alive.
With the Wings facing elimination, Ogunbowale hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 4.1 seconds remaining in regulation to send the first-round playoff game at College Park Center into overtime.
She opened the extra period with a 3-pointer off the backboard, then made another to give Dallas a 103-100 lead with 1:46 left. The Wings held on to force a third and deciding game in the series.
Gabby Williams led Golden State with a career-high 36 points. The teams are scheduled to meet Friday night in San Francisco.
